Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is the first priority of the school ’s fund raising. This fund gives KIS the financial means and flexibility to develop and sustain programs and projects that make KIS a truly exceptional place to teach and learn. Our exceptional education program requires professional development for teachers, relevant books and other materials, equipment, technology, training and facilities. Without the support of our donors, KIS would be unable to offer programs and projects such as these:

  • An admission program that travels widely and recruits actively, seeking out students who may never have heard of KIS from new regions of the world, encouraging diversity.
  • Professional development opportunities and resources for teachers.
  • A comprehensive physical education, athletic and hiking program.
  • An outstanding Library with 45,000 volumes, a growing collection of digital media and a team of reference librarians.
  • Establish and maintain an Archive program.
  • Distinctive off campus programs with the Poondi Outdoor Educational Center and exclusive international exchange programs.
  • Awareness Programs which offer music tours, drama productions, and visiting artists.
  • Activities of the Social Experience which involves all KIS students in a variety of social service organizations, including annual field trips throughout India.
  • State-of-the-art Internet and communication technology.
  • Maintenance and upgrade of our beautiful campus and facilities.
  • Environmental stewardship programs.
  • Attraction and retention of a diverse and qualified faculty.
  • An active Alumni Association.

Financial Aid Fund
This fund addresses KIS commitment to enroll exceptional students regardless of their ability to pay for tuition. Currently KIS commits 8% of its operating budget for need-based tuition assistance . The Financial Aid Fund enables KIS to offer financial assistance for “ other expenses,” above and beyond tuition fees. These expenses include school supplies, field trips, music instruments, exam fees and travel expenses. You can support this fund with a gift of any size.

KIS Graduating Class Scholarship Fund
For many years it has been a tradition at KIS for parents to contribute their security deposit to support KIS . In honor of KIS graduates we have established a Scholarship Fund. All of the security deposit contributions made by the parents of graduating students will support this Fund allowing the scholarship to grow and assist future students of KIS.

The sending down of roots and ever-expanding branches of the Banyan tree symbolizes the life-path of KIS students. Therefore this special Scholarship Fund will be symbolized by the Banyan tree. In appreciation for the generosity of the graduating parents and to leave a legacy of your child’s contribution to the KIS community, a large metal sculpture of a Banyan tree will be installed on the wall of Alumni Hall. With a contribution of Rs 20,000 or more, the student’s name and graduating class will be engraved on a metal “ leaf” which will be permanently attached to the Banyan tree sculpture and forever be a part of the KIS landscape.

KIS Drama Endowment Fund
The KIS Drama Endowment Fund will be used exclusively to offset royalty and drama production costs of the KIS drama department for years to come. Contributions may be made at any time.
